Terms of Service

Terms of service for ChronoSync (SDNUChronoSync), a multi-user timetable and schedule management web application.

Effective date: August 9, 2026

Welcome to ChronoSync (SDNUChronoSync). Please read these Terms of Service (the “Terms”) carefully before using the Service. By registering for, logging in to, or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to be bound by these Terms.

  1. ChronoSync is a multi-user timetable and schedule management web application that provides personal multi-schedule management, calendar events, schedule adjustments, team collaboration, schedule sharing, and empty-classroom lookup.
  2. The Service is operated by CelPlume (Celest Plume) and is available online at https://sxtj.hxcn.space. The project source code is licensed under the MIT License and hosted at https://github.com/CelPlume/SDNUChronoSync.
  3. The Service may also run as self-hosted instances (e.g., via Docker). These Terms apply equally to your use of self-hosted instances.
  1. Registration information: When registering, you must provide your real student ID, full name, class, and grade, and set a password. Keep the information accurate and do not register using someone else’s identity or student ID.
  2. Account security: You are responsible for safeguarding your password. Losses caused by failure to safeguard your credentials are your own responsibility. If you discover unauthorized use of your account, contact us immediately at excnies@yeah.net or via the project Issues.
  3. Account use: One account is for one person only. Transferring, lending, or sharing accounts is prohibited, as are bulk or automated registrations.
  4. Information maintenance: Your student ID, name, class, and grade are used to confirm your student status and provide the Service. You may maintain part of this information on your profile page.

You agree that when using the Service you will not:

  1. Violate the laws of the People’s Republic of China or the relevant regulations of Shandong Normal University;
  2. Engage in any unlawful activity, including attacking the Service, interfering with other users, or distributing malicious content;
  3. Scrape or bulk-collect Service data or abuse the APIs;
  4. Access or retrieve other members’ schedules or calendar information without authorization, except as permitted by sharing and team visibility settings;
  5. Use the educational administration system, WebVPN, or other upstream services for purposes beyond the Service’s functionality.
  1. Content you upload or create on the Service — schedules, calendar events, team profiles, and so on — belongs to you, and you are responsible for its truthfulness and lawfulness.
  2. To operate the Service, you grant the operator a non-exclusive license to store, process, and display such content within the scope of the Service. This license terminates when you delete the content, except where retention is required by law.
  3. The Service’s software is open source under the MIT License; you may use, modify, and redistribute it in accordance with that license. The names and marks “ChronoSync”, “Celest Plume” (天空之翼), and “CelPlume” may only be used as separately instructed by the operator.
  1. Educational administration system and WebVPN: Schedule import and empty-classroom lookup interact with Shandong Normal University’s Zhengfang educational administration system and unified identity authentication (WebVPN). The credentials you enter are used only for the current request, are not written to the database or logs, and are cleared from memory when the session expires.
  2. AList avatar storage: If the administrator enables AList storage, your uploaded avatars are stored on that self-hosted service, subject to its own configuration and terms.
  3. Email service: Email binding and password recovery use the SMTP mail service configured by the operator to send verification codes.
  4. When using the above third-party services, you are also bound by the terms of the respective providers (such as Shandong Normal University).

Our processing of your personal information is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

  1. The Service is provided “as is”. The operator makes no warranty of uninterrupted availability or error-free operation.
  2. Schedule import and empty-classroom lookup depend on the availability and accuracy of upstream services (educational administration system, WebVPN, etc.). The operator is not liable for malfunctions caused by upstream changes, failures, or policy adjustments.
  3. You use the Service at your own risk.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not liable for losses caused by force majeure, third-party service failures, your own operational mistakes, failure to safeguard your credentials, or use of the Service by minors without guardian consent.

  1. You may stop using the Service at any time.
  2. If you violate these Terms or applicable law, the operator may restrict, suspend, or terminate your account (including account, IP, or email bans) and may notify you as appropriate.
  3. If the Service is discontinued, the operator will announce this in advance and handle collected personal information in accordance with the law.

The operator may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in advance via on-site notices or page announcements. Continuing to use the Service after the revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China. Disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through friendly consultation; if consultation fails, either party may file a lawsuit with a competent people’s court at the operator’s domicile.
